Freckles vs. Spotted (but Definitely Handmade)
First of all please let me point out that not a single member of our team is a native English speaker. Therefore we often have some fun (and slight troubles) to come up with a name for our products that hopefully makes sense for our English-speaking customers.
Finding a name for our latest handmade paperyarns needed quite some coffee and chocolate for the whole team. “Spotted”, “Bi-Colored”, “Natural with Color”, “Spots”, “Freckles” and some other names were all up for discussion. In the end we decided that we liked Freckles most even though it might not be the first term you would think of when talking about yarn – but the description fits (we think) and even better: it makes us think of summer and sunshine!
… yes, it’s always a bright and sunny day in the studio when “Handmade Paperyarn: Freckles” comes up on order sheets!
